About Port Cranes of America, LLC
Stafford Port Cranes and Core Lifting Services (a sister company of SEATRAX Marine Cranes) has formed a Joint Venture named “Port Cranes of America, LLC” for the purpose of manufacturing port cranes for the USA marine port market.

SEATRAX has been manufacturing off-shore oil-rig marine cranes since 1990 and has several production facilities on the Gulf Coast and the UK. It presently manufactures off-shore cranes  for oil-rigs across North, South and Central America.

Stafford manufacturers tower cranes and their facility in Portugal since 1977, and most recently entered the port crane manufacturing market.

The "Port Cranes of America, LLC" JV location for production and assembly will be in Belle Chasse, Louisiana in the New Orleans metropolitan area and adjacent to the Intra-coastal Waterway which allows barge access in to the Gulf of America and East Coast container ports.

Our Timeline

Port Cranes of America, LLC has begun the manufacturing of our first prototype RTG port crane, commencing in January 2026, and will avail of a waterside property for loading out RTG cranes on to barges in their fully erected and tested state.

Our Joint Venture

Patrick Stafford has been busy over the last 18 months preparing to enter the Port Crane market, working with both private sector companies and the public sector, including state entities, municipalities and government agencies, to put together a viable strategy. Now along with Core Lifting Services and SEATRAX Marine Cranes, they will join together with the new JV for immediate start to production.

Our Cranes

Port Cranes of America, LLC has decided to offer a RTG crane with a 41t capacity under the spreader with 6 + 1 high stacking and 6 + 1 wide.  A 16 wheel option will be used to maintain low ground loading forces. The crane will have multiple options of power supply source; engine, battery, cable reel or busbar capabilities, with that being decided by the eventual end user.
